Salary: $126,100 - 227,950 per year Requirements:

• I must possess, at a minimum, an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, with an active TS/SCI preferred.
• I must have DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) before starting.
• I must hold a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to starting.
• I should have a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of directly relevant experience. Additional military or relevant work experience may be evaluated in lieu of a degree.
• I need at least 3+ years of Firewall experience within the DoD environment.
• I am expected to demonstrate knowledge of the implementation of perimeter and internal firewalls in both physical and virtual contexts.
• I should have advanced experience in managing standard baseline configurations across multiple firewalls.
• I need to show advanced skills in assessing rules to maximize security while reducing redundancy.

Responsibilities:

• I will design, implement, and manage firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto.
• I will monitor firewall performance and security logs to identify and address potential threats.
• I will develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• I will conduct system audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• I will collaborate with other IT, Security, and Network teams to integrate firewall solutions effectively.
• I will troubleshoot and resolve network and firewall-related issues promptly, documenting them within ticketing systems.
• I will maintain and update firewall configurations (security policies/firewall ACLs as authorized by Change Management).

I represent Leidos' Digital Modernization sector as we seek a Senior Firewall Engineer to support our GSM-O effort, located at the Pentagon with a fully on-site presence required. This role entails an individual adept at designing, implementing, and managing intricate firewall solutions to safeguard the security and integrity of our network infrastructure. We value experience with firewall technologies such as Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto, along with a solid background in security networking.

Through our J6 Penetration Handling, Incident, System Health (PHISH) support services task order on the GSM-O contract, we provide IT products, services, and solutions to the Pentagon and other DoD entities to fulfill their mission and business needs. Our Cybersecurity team is engaged in proactive cyber defensive actions supporting J6 to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from adversarial activities.
