The team leverages multiple technologies including Jira for work management, GitHub for source tracking, Gearset for deployment services, and Own Backup for data management.
Key Responsibilities - The Salesforce Engineer is responsible for successfully designing and implementing solutions that enable business objectives and outcomes.
- The technologies include but are not limited to Salesforce.com products and APIs , Apex/Visualforce , Lightning , and integration/ETL technologies .
- Serve as a Salesforce platform solution expert and maintain an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem.
- Engage with Solution Architects in designing capabilities by leveraging Salesforce Cloud platforms to address business needs and simplify integrations with other Rockwell systems.
- Work within Salesforce cloud platforms such as but not limited to: Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Analytics Cloud .
- Collaborate closely with Technical Leaders, Business Partners, Business Process Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to design solutions that meet business needs in accordance with industry best practices.
- Work collaboratively and apply strong communication skills in technical discussions and presentations.
- Play the role of a technical SME in internal strategic initiatives to grow the platform.
- Serve as an active contributor to the overall knowledge base and expertise of the Salesforce cloud platforms.
- Specialize in gathering and analyzing information and designing comprehensive solutions that are flexible and adaptable.
- Utilize strong soft skills and the ability to interact with business and technical stakeholders to discuss needs and opportunities and translate them into solutions.
- Adhere to best practices, including estimating work, test-driven development practices, configuration over customization, etc. Teams may include vendor partners as well.
- Serve in a release manager capacity as needed to plan and lead the team through releases across lower environments.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer
Salesforce Expertise - Strong knowledge of Salesforce Cloud platforms and their components
- Proficiency in Apex programming language for custom development
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning and Lightning Components
- Understanding of Salesforce data model and security model
- Experience in CTI integration, email automation, self-service, and knowledge management
- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure high quality and reliability of developed solutions
- Stay updated with the latest Salesforce technologies, trends, and best practices
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, data model, and security model
- Earn and maintain Salesforce certifications
Technical Skills - Proficiency in programming languages such as Apex, Visualforce, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs for integrating Salesforce with other systems
- Experience in SFDC APIs, SOSL, SOQL, SOAP or REST-based web services, SQL, and XML
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Integration Skills - Experience in integrating Salesforce cloud platforms with other business systems.
