Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support a leading client in maintaining and optimizing their enterprise Oracle database environment. This role is critical in ensuring data integrity, security, performance, and availability across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.


Position Overview:
The Oracle DBA will design, implement, and maintain corporate Oracle databases in alignment with project objectives, architecture standards, and best practices. This role includes database administration, performance tuning, high availability support, and 24x7 operational support. The DBA will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure database solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Administer, monitor, and maintain multiple Oracle environments (development, test, QA, production).


Apply patches, manage changes, and deploy updates in compliance with change management procedures.


Provide 24x7 rotational on-call support, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and preventive action follow-up.


Optimize database performance, including PL/SQL tuning, query optimization, and high availability architecture (Data Guard, RAC, standby databases).


Support enterprise systems projects, database design decisions, and infrastructure sizing.


Perform nightly ETL processing support and proactive capacity planning.


Maintain detailed documentation of database architecture, processes, and procedures.


Implement and enforce database security policies in line with corporate objectives.


Collaborate with development teams on database design, changes, and application integrations.



Required Qualifications:


BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.


5+ years of Oracle DBA experience (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c).


Experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle GoldenGate 12+.


Expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems.


Proficiency with RMAN backup, Data Guard, OEM Grid Control, and monitoring tools (Toad, Spotlight, etc.).


Strong PL/SQL and Unix/Linux Shell scripting skills.


Solid understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and database security.


Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills.


Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working in collaborative environments
